Jeanette (Bowen) Petrie of Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio was born on August 10, 1911, and had siblings Hazel Bowen Cherry, Helen Bowen Dilworth, and Robert Bowen Sr.. She was married to Tad Petrie, and had children Edwin T. "Pete" Petrie and John Lawrence Petrie. Jeanette Petrie died at age 73 years old in August 1984.

My favorite kitchen drawer: .I loved going to my Grandma Jean's house when I was a kid. One of the best things about Grandma's kitchen was a certain drawer, she would always keep Hershey's Miniatures for me and my sister. She would also keep the coffee basket and power cord for the percolater in that drawer and a can of Zippo lighter fluid for her cigarette lighter, and a host of other odds and ends. But the combination of smells of old coffee, chocolate, and Zippo lighter fluid was heavenly! I used to open the drawer just so I could smell it!
