James Stark
Lorsque James Stark naquit en 1695 à Port Glasgow, dans le Renfrewshire, en Écosse, son père, John Stark, avait 30 ans et sa mère, Elizabeth Susannah Archibald Scott, 30 ans. Il épousa Elizabeth Thornton en 1716 à Rockingham, dans le New Hampshire, aux États-Unis. Ils eurent au moins sept fils et huit filles. Il émigra dans le New Hampshire en 1710 et vécut en Virginie en 1720. Il mourut le 12 avril 1754 à l'âge de 59 ans, dans la paroisse d'Overwharton, à Stafford, en Virginie, en Amérique coloniale britannique. Il fut inhumé dans la même paroisse.
