James Richard Dale of Beechworth Australia was born on March 4, 1863 in Danby, North Yorkshire County, England United Kingdom to Margaret Eddy Dale and James Dale. He had siblings John Eddy Dale and Elizabeth Eddy Dale. He married Elizabeth (Coode) Dale in 1885, and had children James Walter Dale, George Herbert Dale, Grace Hart Dale, Charles Coning Dale, and Elizabeth Emma (Dale) Parker. James Dale died at age 64 years old on August 20, 1927 in Saint Arnaud, Northern Grampians Shire County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Stuart Mill Cemetery 20 Dalyenong Rd, in Stuart Mill.
