    James Orlans Turner was born to James Arthur Turner (1906-1996) and Jettie Mae Brown (1907-1989), and had five sisters and two brothers including Lulu (born 1932), Amogine (1932-1990), Annie Ruth (1941-2004), Leon Frank (1945-2008), and Leonard Turner born in 1948. In the 1950 federal census, James Orlans Turner (14), stepson of Charlie Barkley (38), was living in Nansemond Virginia with Charlie and Charlie's wife, Loreatha A Barkley (32). Also in the household were Charlie Jr. (7), Charlie Sr's son, and Charlie Wilson (25), roomer. Charlie Sr. was a "truck helper" in general hauling, and James was a farm hand on a farm. James Turner was 25 years old when he married Shirley J. Christopher (age 20) in Alameda, California on January 2, 1962. They had two daughters and three sons including Kesha Turner who was born in 1964 and died in 2011. According to his gravesite in Las Vegas Nevada, he was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. On the tv show "Lie to Me" (Funhouse/Trivia 2011), according to IMDB "After the last scene, when the screen turns black for the credits, a text reads "Dedicated to the loving memory of James O. Turner 1936-2010." James was the script coordinator for the show, and he had passed away in October. On a television show, the script coordinator is responsible for liaising between the writing and production departments.
