James Lavender of Melbourne Australia was born in 1903 in Broken Hill, NSW to Annie Elizabeth (Howes) Lavender and Elijah Lavender. He had siblings Ruby Gladys Lavender, Herbert George Lavender, Jack Joseph Lavender, Alfred Bert Lavender, Leonard Lavender, William Edward Lavender, Elijah Lavender, and Harold Lavender. James Lavender married Sylvia May Mosey in 1925, and died at age 34 years old on November 22, 1938 in Ascot Vale, City of Moonee Valley County, VIC.
