James Landy was born in Pennsylvania in 1838 and died in Cincinnati November 18, 1897. He was assisted in his work by his wife, Blandina Kemmerer. He was a photographer from 1861 until his death, and did indeed, win numerous awards.
After his death, Blandina lived with her children and died in Ohio in March, 1931.
