They had children inlcuding a son, Michael Hamilton Stanfield (1951-1990). James worked as a pharmaceutical representative for Behren's Drug Co.

    James H. Stanfield Jr., 78, of Victo-ria, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004. He was born Jan. 18, 1926, in Lamesa, to the late James Hamil ton Sr. and Betty Jean Williams Stanfield. He was a pharmaceutical representative for Behren's Drug Co. and a Methodist. He was a member of VFW, American Legion and Elk's Lodge of Roswell, N.M. Survivors: wife, Billye O. Stanfield; daughters, Mickey Slayton of Albu-querque, N.M., and Kay Ross of Spring; son, Bill Sewell of Fort Worth; six grand-children; and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: son, Mike Stanfield; and sister, Betty Jean Tuori. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight at Colonial Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, Chaplain Carolyn Cowan officiating. Burial with full military honors, under the auspices of Victoria Veterans Council, VFW, CWV, DAV, Vietnam Veterans of America, Ameri can Legion, Marine Corps League, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Crossroads Ex-POWs, Military Order of the World Wars and the Korean War Veterans, will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
