Jackie Lynn (Nunn) Hogue's History: 1954 - 1994

Uncover new discoveries and connections today by sharing about people & moments from yesterday.
  • Introduction

Jackie Lynn (Nunn) Hogue was born to Russell E. "Gene" Nunn (1924 - 2019) and Peggy Lee Turner (1925 - 2018) on October 15th, 1953 in Artesia, New Mexico. She had four half sisters. Jackie Nun married twice, the first time in November 22, 1972 and they had four children: three sons, including Jody David Schniederjan (1976 - 2011), Julie Dawn Schniederjan, born 1977, and two more sons. They divorced on February 11th, 1985. Jackie then married Jesse D. Hogue on June 1st, 1985 - a short time after her first divorce was final. They didn't have children and they divorced on February 24th, 1993, about 8 years after they married. Although Jackie and Jesse were divorced, Jesse continued to live in her home with her four children from her first marriage. Jackie worked three jobs while there is no record of Jesse working. In 1994, Jackie's Mom and one of Jackie's sons discovered her body. She had been shot in the head, twice, in her bedroom. Police suspected her ex-husband, Jesse, of the murder but they couldn't prove it. Jesse moved to Colorado and lived there for many years, under suspicion, but not arrested. The case turned cold. In 2019, two detectives decided to investigate the cold case and found evidence of Jesse's being the culprit. He was arrested, convicted, and imprisoned in Colorado. He was later transferred to jail in Texas, where as of 2024, he is still imprisoned. For more details, see Cold Justice: Where Is Jesse Hogue Now? and Records show cold case suspect lived in Colorado for years.
