She married Robert Samuel Miller on June 10, 1922 in Danville, and they were married until Robert's death on January 11, 1956 in Durham, Durham County, North Carolina. She had children Ann Marie (Miller) Cupp and Nan Maurine Miller. Ila Miller died at age 93 years old on February 1, 1990 in Johnson City, Washington County, TN, and was buried on February 3, 1990 at Monte Vista Memorial Park 1900 E Oakland Ave, in Johnson City.

    Ila Miller JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. Ila Gertrude Aherron Miller, 93, of 910 Beech Drive died Thursday in Colonial Hill Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. Born June 8, 1896, in Danville, Va., she was a daughter of Thomas and Lucy Richardson Aherron. She was married to Robert Samuel Miller, who died in 1957. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Ann Cupp of Johnson City; four sisters, Rachel Johnson of Hampton, Va., Edith Matthews, Violet Drew and Louise Hasty, all of Danville; three brothers, Ted Aherron of Hampton, Kenneth Aherron of Chesapeake, Va., and Reuben Aherron of Danville. The funeral was conducted Saturday from Appalachian-Hartman Funeral Home by Pastor John Cooper, with interment in Monte Vista Burial Park.
