She married Sydney Alfred Shergold, and had a child Dr. Una O'Day ( Shergold. Ida Shergold died at age 84 years old on September 15, 1975 in Kew, Boroondara City County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Melbourne General Cemetery College Cres, in Parkville, Melbourne City County.

At rest. Privately Interred at Carlton Cemetery on 17th September 1975.

A huge success in London - opening in 1899 and running for 455 performances - the musical was even more successful in New York - running for 552 performances.
