She had siblings Ernest George Howlett, Vera May Howlett, Myrtle Gladys Howlett, Rita Elma Howlett, Thomas Leslie Howlett, Alfred John Howlett, and Arthur Raymond Maxwell Howlett. Ida Mills married Lindsay Charles Mills, and died at age 94 years old on July 18, 2000 in Canterbury.
