Henry Washington Pitt was born in September 1858 in Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut United States to William Pitt and Annette Burtenette, and had siblings William A. Pitt, Mary Ellen Pitt, Charles Burbank Pitt, James Walter Pitt, Robert Pitt, Edwin Samuel Pitt, and Annette Burnett Pitt. He married Agnes Collender, and had a child William Henry Pitt. Henry Pitt died at age 72 years old on April 11, 1931 in Stamford, and was buried in April 1931 at Woodland Cemetery in Stamford.
