Henry James Mullenger 1884 - 1966

Henry James Mullenger of Northcote Australia was born in 1884 in Carlton, City of Melbourne County, VIC to Henry Mullenger and Mary Leggett Mullenger. He had siblings Esther Emily Mullenger, Emma Fanny Mullenger, Robert Charles Mullenger, Mary Mullenger, Annie Emily Mullinger, and Emma Mullenger. He married Jean Higgins Mullenger in 1909, and had children Henry James Mullenger II, George Stedden Mullenger, Robert James Mullenger, Jean Florence Mullenger, and Allan John Mullenger. Henry Mullenger died at age 81 years old on August 20, 1966 in Preston, City of Darebin County.

Building began in 1848 but was stopped because of lack of funds and also due to the Civil War. It would be dedicated in 1885. At the time of its completion, it was the tallest structure in the world.
