Jun 1859 in Jackson, IA to parents David LIVINGSTON (1810-1867) and Haddessa or Heddassa DAWSON (1817-1895) who were married abt 1838 in Wilmington Township, Mercer Co., PA. May was one of 9 children born to this couple including Nancy J.; Martha; William H.; Matthew or Mathew D.; Sarah Clara; James Asbury; David M.; Christopher D. or O.; and May LIVINGSTON, all born between 1839 and 1859. May married Benjamin W. SEAWARD (1861-1924) 18 Sept 1882 in Bellevue, IA and she died 30 Dec 1915 in Jackson Co., IA and is buried in the First Presbyterian Cemetery in Bellevue, IA.

Mrs. B. W. SEAWARD (Haddessah Mahala LIVINGSTON)
I have in my possession an old photograph identified as Mrs. B. W. SEAWARD Jr. of Bellevue, IA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Mrs. SEAWARD appearing to be in her 20's or 30's at the time it was taken. The photograph appears to have been a gift to Juliet SEAWARD. I believe that this is a photograph of Haddessah Mahala LIVINGSTON SEAWARD and I have gathered the following information regarding Haddessah and her family:
