Gustaf Mazner died at age 79 years old on December 20, 1965 at Divine Infant Hospital in Wakefield, Gogebic County, Michigan United States, and was buried on December 20, 1965 at Ironwood Cemetery 1000 N Hemlock St, in Ironwood.

    20 Decemebr 1965 Wakefield, Gogebic County Michigan as seen in the Ironwood daily Globe paper Tuesday, Decemebr 21, 1965 Mazner Gustaf - Obit Gustaf Mazner, 79, of 132 W. Larch street., died Monday at Divine Infant Hospital at Wakefield. He had been a patient there for two weeks. He was born March 21, 1886 in Inglo, Austria-Hungary, and came to the United States and to Ironwood in 1905. He was employed as a pumpman at the Oliver Mining Company from that time until his retirement in 195, after 46 years of service. On May 9, 1908 he was married to the former Katherine Benzala at Holy Trinity Church. They were the first couple to be married at the church. The Deceased was a member of the Holy Trinity Church and the Narodna Slovak Society. Surviving him are his wife; three sons, Joseph, and Gust of Lansing; Edward of Milwakee, six daughters, Mrs. Ann Peterson of Boulder Junction; Mars. Wally Choleva of Chicago; Mrs. Alfred Studden of Montreal, Mrs. Herman Blise of Pence;Mrs. Jack Miller of St. Petersburg Fla; and Mrs. Walter Ciesla, of Waukegan; 22 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren, and once sister Mrs Anton Yashuk of Judson, Indiana; Two Sons, John, and Louis died several years ago. The McKevitt-Kershner Funeral Home will be open beginning at 4 Wednesday afternoon. The rosary will be recited at 6:30pm that evening. Funeral services will be held at 9 Thursday Morning at Holy Trinity Church. The rev. Ambrose Matejik officiating. Internment will be at Riverside cemetery
