Guiseppe Maccini of Boston North End was born in 1876 in Liguria Italy. He was married to Rosa Maccini Marsolini, and they were together until death separated them. He had children John Tony Maccini, Mary C Maccini, and Octavio v Maccini. Guiseppe Maccini died at age 77 years old on December 15, 1954 at Boston City Hospital, and was buried on December 18, 1954 at St Michael Cemetery 500 Canterbury St, in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts United States.

In 1909, when he was 33 years old, the New York Times published the first movie review. It was a report on D.W. Griffith's movie "Pippa Passes" also called "The Song of Conscience", a silent film. The review said that this work was moving away from "lurid material that attracted the wrath of censors and concerned citizens and toward more respectable ends. The movie was the story of a young female factory worker, on her day off, wandering and singing - thus changing the hearts of those around her towards good.
