She married Harold J. Higgerson Jr. on February 8, 1958 in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan, and they were married until Harold's death on May 11, 2016. Glinda Higgerson has children Harold J. Higgerson III, Cynthia Diane Higgerson, Thomas Wayne Higgerson, and Michelle Renee (Higgerson) Wamsley.
