2 Memories, Stories & Photos about Gilbert

The story of Jack and Jill Rosenthal
Lorraine Fountain is thought to have kidnapped Paul Fronczyk (a 2 day old baby) from a Chicago hospital in 1964. When Jack Rosenthal was later found abandoned in a stroller in New Jersey, the FBI identified him as Paul Fronczyk, he was "reunited" with his "parents" and raised by them.

Decades later, "Paul" with the aid of newly developed DNA techniques, was identified as Jack Rosenthal. Clicking on Lorraine Fountain's link (above) will give you the other side of the story.

By "Madam Spencer - Friend of Family" on

There is DNA proof that Gilbert and Marie were the parents of Jack & Jill Rosenthal - Jack was found in a nice stroller, nicely dressed, but abandoned in New Jersey. When found, he had a black eye from the abuse. The FBI and police thought he was Paul Fronczyk, the 2 day old stolen baby from the hospital in Chicago - of Chester and Dora Fronczyk. They took this child and raised him as their own. He has searched for decades to find out where he came from and his actual birth family. A living brother and sister survive, but declined to be a part of the documentary on CNN (9/26/2021). The real Paul Joseph Fronczyk was finally located in northern Michigan, raised by his single mother. Not long after being identified, he had cancer and died within a year .
