Gertrude (Keefe) Halpin of Portland, Cumberland County, ME was born on June 28, 1896 in Ashland, Aroostook County to Almeda Keefe and Philip Keefe. She married William Halpin, and they were married until death separated them. She had children Dorothy (Halpin) Barron and Patricia Ann (Halpin) McGeough. Gertrude Halpin died at age 86 years old on June 20, 1983, and was buried at Calvary Cemetery 1461 Broadway, in South Portland, Cumberland County.
