Gerrie (Boon) Ballentine was born on May 9, 1891 in Cleveland, Ohio United States to Jorien Boon and Beatrix De Hoog. She married Irvine Ballantine on July 26, 1915 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, and they were married until Irvine's death on April 4, 1939 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. She had a child Charlotte (Ballantine) Baumstark. Gerrie Ballentine died at age 74 years old on March 25, 1966 in Louisville.
