Waderker (1911-1985), Emerson Waderker (1913-1913), Beulah Violetta Waderker (1915-), Barbara Waderker (1917-1918), Bertha Elizabeth Waderker (1919-2000), Barclay Waderker (1925-2012), and Bonnie Opal Waderker (1931-1935). On July 22, 1942 he married Hazel Louise Cook (1921–2001) in Columbiana, Ohio, United States. The couple had one son together. Soon after they got married, Gerald enlisted in the military on November 27, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, during the height of World War II. His military serial number was 35593071. He was stationed in the South Pacific.
