Introduction

In 1891 she was a general servant (domestic), aged 13. She married, first, George Edgar Ord. He was born in Sheffield. The 1901 census website shows them living at 110 Mill Street, Crewe. He was aged 28, a railway labourer. She was shown aged 25. He died in 1914, probably in Hereford, as the result of an accident whilst working as a railway guard. She then married Robert E.Merton (known as Bob) at Chorlton, near Manchester. They divorced. Her third husband, William (Bill) Evans was a miner.
