    George & his wife Antionett were some of my father's very dearest friends. George died about 14 yrs. after my dad, living 85 years. I do not know when & how George wound up living in Florida.They also treated me quite well with food & fishing in McCullom Lake near McHenry IL. Their two daughters were smart , well behaved and MaryBeth is a most stikingly beautiful woman with red hair & many freckles. Unfortunately, my father Frank Louis Maresso died december 17th,1966 after 61 years and one day of time on terra firma. He had bought a retirement home 2 blocks from the Luto's home and died of cancer just before he could move into his tiny home. I hope to get in touch with MaryBeth & share my vivid memories of the kindnesses but also how clearly I remember their faces (and hair). Frank (Paco) Maresso (480) 334-2719 living in zip 85283-1581 with my 3 daughters,their husbands & 7 grand-DAUGHTERS under the age of 8.

In 1905, in the year that George Luto was born, the German born physicist, Albert Einstein, proposed the Special Theory of Relativity: 1) that observers can never detect uniform motion except relative to other objects and that 2) unlike the velocity of massive objects, the speed of light is a constant and is the same for all observers independent of their constant velocity toward or away from the light source. Not such simple concepts that lead to the equation everyone now knows: E = mc2.

In 1923, when he was 18 years old, on November 8th and 9th, Adolf Hitler and his followers (the early Nazi party) staged the "Beer Hall Putsch" in Munich in an attempt to take over Bavaria (a state in Germany). They failed. Hitler was charged with treason and convicted, receiving a sentence of 5 years. He served under 1 year in jail.
