George Ingle Garner 1859 - 1938

George Ingle Garner of Blackburn, Whitehorse City County, VIC Australia was born in 1859 in Kyneton, Macedon Ranges Shire County to Sarah Ann Vevers (Lasslett) Garner and James Ingle Garner. He married Emily Louisa (Howlett) Garner in 1883, and had children George Pakenham Garner and Vevers William Ingle Garner. George Garner died at age 79 years old in 1938 in Blackburn, Whitehorse City County.

In 1882, by the time he was 23 years old, on January 5th, writer and lawyer Charles J. Guiteau was found guilty of the assassination of President Garfield. Guiteau was "offended" because his job applications had been rejected by Garfield's government. He was sentenced to death -although his lawyer plead insanity - and hanged five months later, on June 30th.
