    Sp. 4 Shelton's Injury Fatal In Vietnam Funeral arrangements were incomplete yesterday for Sp. 4 George David Wallace, killed in action in Vietnam, pending arrival of his body here. Death of Wallace of the Dry Fork community was reported yesterday but no details were available. Sp. 4 Wallace, 24, was born in the Dry Fork community January 2, 1943, a son of Mrs. Virginia Yates Wallace and the late George Lee Wallace. Prior to entering military service on August 16, 1966, he had spent all of his life in the Dry Fork area. A former employee of Dan River Mills, he had been overseas about four months and was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division. He attended Whitmell Christian Church and Whitmell High School. In addition to his mother, he is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Pruitt of Pelham, N.C., Mrs. Evelyn Scarce of Whitmell, V.A., Mrs. Virginia Dare Jones of Hurt, V.A., Mrs. Mildred Emerson of Dry Fork, V.A. and Mrs. Betty Marshall of Roanoke, V.A.; and three brothers, Reuben Wallace of Dry Fork, V.A., Dennis Wallace of the home and Spt. 4 Kenneth Wallace of Gleesen, Germany. The body will be returned to Danville at a later date and will be at Swicegood Funeral Home pending final arrangements. The family will be at the residence at Dry Fork. Sp. 4 George Wallace Rites Set Tomorrow Final rites for Sp. 4 George David Wallace, 24-year old Dry Fork soldier who was fatally wounded last week in Vietnam, will be conducted tomorrow at 3 P.M. at Hopewell Methodist Church. Burial, with full military honors, will be in the Wallace family cemetery at the home. The body arrived at Swicegood Funeral Home early today, and will be at the residence from 4 P.M. until 1 P.M. tomorrow, when it will be taken to the church.
