    At the Greenbrier Resort, Greenbrier Co, WV, a marker located near Hilltop Tennis Courts, indicates the burial of 16 unknown Confederate soldiers who died of wounds received at the Battle of Dry Creek on Aug 26-27, 1863. This may be the burial place of George Peal.
