Fred Nathaniel Wallace 1899 - 1965

Fred Nathaniel Wallace of Danville, Virginia United States was born on December 30, 1899 in Dry Fork, Pittsylvania County to Nathaniel Valentine Wallace and Julia Levada (Aaron) Wallace. He had siblings Raymond Daniel Wallace, George Lee Wallace, Naomi Eva Wallace Scearce Eanes, Boyd Edward Wallace, Helen Gould Wallace Jeffcoate Shumate, Douglas Dee Wallace, Louise Lavada Wallace Richardson, John Aaron Wallace, Bertha Mae (Wallace) Stowe, Julian Lee Wallace, and Catherine Wallace. He married Annie Lee (Worley) Wallace on September 7, 1957 in Danville, and they were married until Fred's death on October 7, 1965 in Danville. He had children Henry Nathaniel Wallace, Mae Helen (Wallace) King, Willie Jim Wallace, D. T. Wallace, Jean Marie Wallace Davis Alderson, and Bobby Raye Wallace. Fred Wallace was buried on October 9, 1965 at Highland Burial Park N Main St, in Danville.

    Fred N. Wallace Succumbs At 64 Fred Nathaniel Wallace, 64, well known local salesman, died at Memorial Hospital this morning after being a patient there since September 29. Born in Pittsylvania County, VA, on December 30, 1899, he was the son of the late Nathaniel Wallace and the late Julia Aaron, and was educated in the county schools. He moved to Danville as a young man and had been connected with the automobile industry all his adult life, working most recently for Harville Motor Co. as a salesman. On September 7, 1957, he married the former Dorothy Mills and they resided at 327 Central St. Mr. Wallace was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife of the home and four sons, D.T. Wallace, Willie Wallace, Bobby Wallace, and Henry Wallace, and one step-son, Thomas Mills, all of Danville, VA; one daughter Mrs. Jean (Harry) Alderson of Danville, VA.; and 17 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He also leaves five brothers, Douglas Wallace of Sulffolk, VA., Julian Wallace of Alderson, WV., Johnnie Wallace of Franklinville, NC., and Raymond Wallace of Danville, VA.; and four sisters, Mrs. Louise (Berkley) Richardson of Danville, VA., Mrs. Naomi (Glenn) Eanes of Chicago, IL., Mrs. Bertha (W. T.) Stowe of Madison Heights, VA., and Mrs. Helen Shumate of WV. The body is at Barker Funeral Home, and the family will be at the residence on Central St. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. from Christ Episcopal Church in Glenwood by the Rev. Harold White, Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.
