Frank is my brother. He was the best brother that ever was. I loved him dearly. We were a year and a half apart, had many of the same friends, and were always together growing up. We went different ways as teenagers and our lives led somewhat different paths. We were both military, but his life seemed much harder. He was to come home to Maine for Christmas in December 2002. Mom and I were very excited and were planning to see him. We wanted to talk him into staying with us so we could help him find peace and happiness. He had been in the Army and was in Desert Storm, and this had been difficult for him. He was ill from being there, and so very proud of his service that he would not seek help. He was living in Connecticut at a Marina in Mystic. He had a beat up boat that he lived on and was restoring. He had no work, other than what he found around the marina. A couple of people there tried to look after him. He didn't make it home. On 17 Nov., a Nor'Easterner claimed his life. They searched for a week before they found him washed up on an island. That has been the hardest time of my life. I miss him terribly.
