    He was the son of Stanley Gulan and Margaret Bak Gulan (both born in Warsaw, Poland) of Yonkers, New York. Frank married Ruth Rosa Jorger Gulan in Durlach, Germany on October 2, 1948. They made their home in Yonkers, New York and raised two daughters, Rita, born 1948 and Dolores, born 1949. Ruth passed away on January 23, 1989 at the age of 62 in Freehold, NJ and was buried at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Yonkers. Frank and Ruth share their burial place with Frank's parents Stanley and Margaret Gulan.

    FRANK JOSEPH GULAN, 91, of FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, died Saturday, March 31, at Bartley Manor, Jackson. Mr. Gulan was born in Yonkers, N.Y., and had resided there before moving to Freehold Township 25 years ago. Mr. Gulan was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a medical technician. He was a custodian at the U.S. Post Office, Tuckahoe, N.Y., where he was employed for 19 years before his retirement in 1981. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4374, Freehold Township. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth Jorger Gulan, in 1989. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Rita S. and James Wilson of Yonkers, N.Y., and Dolores A. and Paul Pugsley of Freehold Township; four grandchildren, Lisa Petrie Nause and Margaret Petrie Nafz, and Christopher and Jennifer Pugsley; and a great-grandson, Wyatt Nause. Visiting hours will be from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center St., Freehold. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. today at the funeral home, followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Yonkers, N.Y. VFW Post 4374 services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
