    Etta as a 20-something yr. old, sampled a wide variety of protestant churches in her search for a satisfying revelation of Christ. I am Etta's grandson, Mark Dettra. She told me when she worshiped at the Catholic church she found the FULLNESS of doctrine, and resolved happily to become a catholic. She was a self-sacrificing and devoted mother to her children, and had a consistent prayer life, especially devotion to the holy rosary prayers. I loved my granny "to pieces"! Her unflinching honesty was something beautiful to behold. When one of her nephews was hurt, discouraged, and disillusioned after being disqualified as a candidate to serve as a Catholic missionary, he told Etta that he's a Buddhist now! She instantly called his bluff, and replied --- " You're a HORSE'S A** !" (Hey, I told you I loved my granny for never compromising the truth !
