She had siblings George Raymond Mclaren, Ellen Elizabeth (McLaren) Jenkins, Grace Mclaren, Doris Mclaren, Annie Dorothy Mclaren, Robert Mclaren, John Samuel Mclaren, and Percy Crosby Mclaren. She married Augustus "Gus" Membery in 1915, and had a child Doris Ethel (Membrey) Fortune. Ethel Membrey died at age 80 years old on May 13, 1974 in Warrnambool.
