Essie was my great aunt by marriage. She was married to my maternal grandmother’s brother. I loved going to visit their house as she always gave me some milk/tea and whatever we were eating that day. She was in the Mascot Home Demonstration Club which I learned about as I grew into an adult. Essie was part of a generation that will never be forgotten for they kept a home for their families.
