She had siblings Elsie Annie McLaughlin, Robert Gunn Mclaughlin, Eugenie Mclaughlin, Charles Murray Mclaughlin, and Margery McLaughlin. Esme died at age 79 years old on October 22, 1961 in Ararat, Ararat Rural City County.
