    Ernestine Harvin was a secretary from Washington D.C. and is best remembered as the only wife of Little Richard. Both Evangelical Christians, Ernestine & Little Richard met during Richard's time in the Little Richard Evangelistic Team as he traveled across the country to preach. The couple met at an Evangelical rally in October 1957 and began dating right away. The couple married on July 12th 1959 in California and adopted a son, Danny Jones, prior to divorcing in 1964. According to Ernestine she and Little Richard enjoyed a happy marriage and divorced due to her husband's celebrity status. Little Richard said that their marriage fell apart because he neglected his family and his sexuality preferences. It was only twenty years after their divorce that Little Richard was open about his attraction to men which became known in the biography 'The Life and Times of Little Richard'. Later on in life Ernestine married Mcdonald Campbell in Santa Barbara California on March 23rd 1975 and later divorced in December 1976 in Los Angeles
