Introduction

Ernest James Stibbons, my gt grandfather, was born in Foxley Norfolk, to parents Heber and Rosanna Stibbons. Ernest moved to Poulton le Fylde as a police constable and lived in the police house in the centre of Poulton Le Fylde. He met his wife Deborah Anne Whiteside, a schoool teacher and they married in St Chads church near to the police station. Ernest was soon stationed to Kirkham, where their daughter, my Grandmother, Dorothy was born in 1915 . They moved to Galgate where their only son Ernest Whiteside Stibbons was born in 1919. The family moved to Huyton near Liverpool, Lancashire, so Ernest Could take up a post as police sergeant. Eventually the whole family moved to 13 South view Waterloo, Crosby, Lancashire, when Ernest became a Police inspector. Ernest died in 1950.
