Enis Therese (Confait) Lord was born on July 6, 1923 in Bairnsdale, East Gippsland Shire County, VIC Australia to Germain Alexian Confait and Annie Maria (Henderson) Confait, and had siblings Jeanne Eileen Confait, John Alexian Confait, and Brian Jules Confait. Enis Confait married Thomas Albert Lord on December 14, 1944 at St Patrick's Cathedral, 1 Cathedral Place, in East Melbourne, Melbourne City County, Victoria, and they were married until Enis' death on July 27, 2014.
