Emily Catherine (Ormsbee) Appleby was born in 1845 in Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts United States to Paschal Ormsbee and Mary (Allen), and had a sister Sarah F. (Ormsbee). Emily Ormsbee married Edwin Thomas Appleby on September 15, 1861 in Seekonk, Bristol County, and they were married until Emily's death on December 1, 1879.
