She had siblings Robert Henry Joughin, Sophia Joughin, Walter Joughin, Daniel Frederick Joughin, Agnes Joughin, John Kerrnish Joughin, Thomas Wade Joughin, William Joughin, Elizabeth Carlton Joughin, Daniel Frederick Joughin, and Francis Joughin. Ellen Joughin died at age 17 years old on June 1, 1889 in Templestowe.
