    Elfreda Irene Terstappen was born to parents Herbert Terstappen and Elfreda Panter. She had older brothers Herbert and Hoarce Terstappen. She grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Early in her career, Elfreda worked as a Stenographer for a Law Company in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. On June 21, 1952 she married Daniel Emory McCoy (1930–1988). The wedding of Miss Elfreda Irene Terstappen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Herbert Terstappen, of Upper Darby, to Mr. Daniel Emory McCoy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emory McCoy, of Chester Springs, took place on June 21 in Christ Lutheran Community Church. The Rev. Paul S. Wagner officiated.

Mrs. Horace Terstappen was the matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Dolores Dunstan and Miss Frances Davies.

Mr. McCoy acted as best man for his son and the ushers were Mr. Herbert Terstappen, Mr.
Horace Terstappen, brothers of the bride; Mr. Donald Danese, Mr. George Shivley and Mr. Henry Battaglia, Jr.

McCOY ELFREDA T., 73, of Coatesville formerly of Green Hills Lake and Stafford, PA, died Thurs., July 15, 2004 at Lynn House Nursing Home, Alexandria, VA. Survived by husband William Shirley of Cape May, NJ and daughters Candace G. McCoy of Coatesville, PA, Amy C. Mccoy of Mendham, NJ; 7 grandchildren and her brother Horace Terstappen of Marco Island, FL. She was predeceased by her first husband Daniel E. McCoy.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at 11 A.M. at MACLEAN-CHAMBERLAIN Funeral Home, Ine., 339 West King's Hwy. (Rt. 340), Wagontown, PA. Int. Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. Visitation Tues. 10 to 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home.
In lieu or towers, contributions in Elfreda's memory to CYWA Children's Fund, 423 E. Lincoln
