KENNEDY, ELENORE (DElIZIA)
Elenore (DeLizia) Kennedy, 85, formerly of Oxford Street, Hartford, La Plaza MHP Largo, Florida, Westerleigh Senior Housing of Unionville and the last two and a half years at Avon Healthcare Center, Avon, passed away Saturday (February 5, 2005) surrounded by her family.
Born April 23, 1919 the daughter of the late Joseph and Philomena DeLizia and wife of the late Robert Kennedy. She leaves a daughter Geraldine and son-in-law, William Gibbons of Canton, formerly of Unionville, a son Robert and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Kennedy of Unionville, a daughter of Carol and son-in-law, Dave Castagna of Weley Chapel, Florida, formerly of East Hartford, a daughter Patricia and son-in-law Gary Hizer of New Smyna Beach, Florida; granddaughter, Christine and husband James Cunningham of Unionville formerly of Bristol; grandson, William Patrick Gibbons of Avon; granddaughter, Keri-Ann Gibbons and partner Marion Soucie of Unionville formerly of Avon, granddaughter, Kellie and husband Sammy Delgado of Wesleyof Wesley Chapel, Florida, granddaughter, Jessica Hill of New Smyna Beach, Florida; granddaughter, Christina and husband Jamie Caraballo of Bristol, grandsons, Jason and Ryan Pilon of West Hartford; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Caitlin Cunningham of Unionville, Ashlie Delgado of Wesley Chapel, Florida, Elijah and Alanna Caraballo of Bristol; sister, and brother-in-law, Arlene and Sylvester Grosso of Wethersfield; sister-in-law, Florence DeLizia of Milford, Delaware. Many Nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence DeLizia of Milford, Delaware and grandson, Baby Joseph Gibbons.
Elenore was a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Unionville and Tunxis Senior Center of Unionville. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Avon Healthcare Center staff, nurses and aides for their care and support, and especially to Pam in the final days.
Funeral will be Saturday, February 12, 10:15 a.m. from the Rose Hill Funeral Home., 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Calling hours are Saturday, February 12, 9:15 - 10:15 a.m., just prior to leaving for church. Memorial donations may be made to: St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee.
