He also had a half brother, Casimer J Figurski (1910-1953). He joined the United States Military on October 15, 1940 at age 20. Edward was married to Eva Margaret Plummer (1926-2016) and they had two children together, Diane and Chip. Edward worked as an inspector with Civil Service and started his career with Fort Miles in Lewes and finished with the Dover Air Force base.

    Age 91 of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Harbor Healthcare & Rehab. Center, in Lewes, DE. He was born March 22, 1920 in Cleveland, OH, son of the late Julia and Edward Figurski. Mr. Figurski was an inspector with Civil Service where he began his career with Fort Miles in Lewes and concluded with the Dover Air Force Base. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #17 in Lewes. He was preceded in death by his wife Christina Figurski in 2000. He is survived by his daughter Diane Niksich of Lewes, DE; his son Chip Figurski of Georgetown, DE; grandsons Ronald Davidson of Tennessee and Jeffrey Davidson of Newark, DE; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 11, at 11 am at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Henlopen Memorial Park, near Milton, DE. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
