Edward Alvin Wentz was born on December 27, 1938 in Grant County, Wisconsin United States to Alvin Thomas Wentz and Leona Viola (Pickel) Wentz. He married Carol Lee (Shaben) Wentz in 1958 and they later divorced on December 20, 1983. He had children Nancy Lee (Wentz) Fuls, Rodney Edward Wentz, Kenneth Albert Wentz, Steven Alan Wentz, Brenda Ann Wentz, Albert Donald Wentz, and Alvin Orvie Wentz. Edward Wentz died at age 76 years old on October 9, 2015 in Cassville.

  • Introduction

    Mr. Edward A. Wentz, of Cassville, passed away at the age of 77 years 8 months and 12 days on Friday October 9, 2015, at his home. Edward was born January 27, 1938, the son of Alvin and Leona (Pickel) Wentz. He graduated from Cassville High School, and later served in the U. S. Army as a rifleman. Edward worked with his father at Beetown Feed and Hardware. He was later a patrolman for Beetown and Waterloo townships. Edward was united into marriage to S. Lynda DuVal on July 5, 1985, in Beetown. Together they were over the road truck drivers, and later, Edward was employed at Cabella's. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 352 of Cassville, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Mr. Wentz is survived by: …his loving wife, ……Lynda Wentz; …his children, ……Nancy (Rusty) Fuls, ……Rodney Wentz, ……Kenneth (Renee) Wentz, ……Brenda Wentz, ……Alvin (Kari) Wentz, and ……Albert (Stacy) Wentz; …siblings, ……Donna (Mac) Axe, ……Ron (Sylvia) Wentz, ……Barbara (John) Bond; …several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; …step-children; ……Rose (John) Werner, Adella (Robert Powell) Coulthard, ……Delvin (Nancy) Coulthard, Alice (Bob) Bechtolt, ……John (Brenda) Coulthard, and David (Lisa) Coulthard, and …several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Beetown Township Hall in Beetown, Wisconsin, with Reverend Pamela Strakeljahn officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the Beetown Hall. Burial with military honors will be in Beetown Cemetery.
