Edna May (Mull) West of Rural City of Wangaratta, Wangaratta Rural City County, VIC Australia was born in 1907 in Rural City of Wangaratta to Wilhelmina "Minnie" Becker Mull and Albert Mull. She had siblings Minnie Elizabeth Mull, Maude Mull, Myrtle Gertrude Mull, and William Henry Mull. She married Albert King West in 1929, and had a child William George West. Edna West died at age 68 years old on March 31, 1976 in Rural City of Wangaratta.

In 1917, at the age of just 10 years old, Edna was alive when in April, the U.S. entered World War I, declaring war against Germany. President Wilson had previously declared neutrality in the war - a position supported by the majority of Americans - but after Germany declared that they would sink all ships trading with Great Britain and sunk U.S. ships, public opinion began to change. Then the Lusitania was sunk, killing 1,201 - including 128 Americans - and more U.S. ships were sunk. The U.S. could stand aside no longer.
