    Edilberto Ricart was born to Martin Ricart-Sanchez (1901 - 1979) and Ezequiela Quinones Y Feliciano (1906 - 1990). Both parents had been born in Puerto Rico. He had four siblings, a sister and three brothers, including Inocencia Barbara Ricart (1932 - 2016) and two half-sisters. Edilberto served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He enlisted on Mary 4, 1954 and was discharged on May 3, 1957.
