Introduction

Earl George Laucht was born the 27th of September 1918 to George Washington Laucht and Elizabeth Shaefer Laucht in Baltimore MD. He married Edith Naomi Schorr in 1942 or 1943. They had two children, Joan Karen in 1947, and Carol Linda in 1950. He worked for Acme, a Mid-atlantic grocery chain until he retired in 1979/1980. Earl was a loving grandfather (or Poppop, as we called him) to 4 grandchildren. He lost his wife Edith in 2005 and went to join her in November 2007. He is survived by his two daughters, and 2 granddaughters and a grandson.
