    I am writing a history of Berkshire PIGS I think Mrs Dulcie Behrens celebrated her 100 th birth day in 2013 and as of 8th AUGUST 2014 is living in a house opposite the entrance to her former home SWINTON GRANGE SWINTON MALTON NORTH YORKSHIRE ENGLAND The Behrens family bred Berkshire pigs of the highest quality for many decades The SWINTON herd had a stronge influence on the national herd for many years Mrs Dulcie Behrens was married to COL W. E .B .Behrens . His parents were Major CLIVE Behrens and The HON MRS C BEHRENS /nee ROTHCHILD I continue my research Vaughan K Byrne

In 1915, in the year that Dulcie Bella Mocatta Behrens was born, The Birth of a Nation opened in February. A silent film, it was the most ambitious film to date and is considered a classic. Three hours long, it starred Lillian Gish and was directed by D. W. Griffith. The movie was based on the book The Clansman and told the story of two families (one pro-Union and one pro-Confederate) and their relationship during the Civil War and Reconstruction. The KKK was shown as "a heroic force".
