Doug attended Bert Bowes Jr. Secondary in Fort St. John. B.C. Canada. Aged 13, 14, 15. This would be Grades 8, 9, 10 as I recall. moved away In Grade 10.
  • Professional Career

Doug played Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget minor hockey On the FSJ rep (all star) teams under coach Doug Wiles. He was #1 or #2 in points each season.: a strong boy with a hard shot. I left FSJ (Charlie Lake) in Grade 10 and lost contact with my old teammates. During high school Doug moved to Kelowna to play for the Buckaroos, then eventually to Flint, Michigan. A good boy and a great team mate, we shared a passion for hockey, and he went a lot further. I have still some old team photos of the 1960’s - Doug front centre, proudly bearing the ā€œCā€.
