    She was not born into the Krafcik family, she was married into the family with Bernard Krafcik as her husband. They lived in Vienna, Ohio where they had and raised 5 children. In 1988, she fell on ice in her back yard, forcing her and her youngest son to go elsewhere to seek rehabilitation for her. From 1988 until 1997, the two of them lived in Conneaut, Ohio and at the later of 1997, when his mother had fallen again and broke her arm he moved her to Geneva, Ohio, and placed her in a nursing facility where she passed away.

In 1922, in the year that Dorothy Krafcik was born, the Lincoln Memorial was dedicated in Washington, D.C. on May 30th. More than 35,000 people attended the dedication including Lincoln's son, Robert Todd Lincoln, and many Union and Confederate veterans - although the audience was segregated. The Memorial took 10 years to complete.
