She was married to George Becton in 1764 in New Bern, Craven County, North Carolina, and they were together until Dorkus' death in 1818 in Franklin County. Dorkus Becton had children Samuel Slade Becton, Lewis Becton, Sarah (Becton) Dillahunty, Macajah Becton, Asa Becton, Nancy (Becton) Hodges, Sydney (Becton) Caldwell, and Mary Eleanor (Becton) Mullen.
