Donna Jean (Pagnotta) Sutton was born on May 10, 1945 in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey United States to Daniel Anthony Pagnotta and Marion Rita Pagnotta, and had siblings Daniel Anthony Pagnotta Jr., Joann Marion Pagnotta, and Terry Lynn Fell. She married Leonard Kenneth Sutton Sr. in 1963 in Trenton, Mercer County, and they were married until Donna's death on April 30, 2016 in Trenton. She had children Kim Michelle Shinn and Leonard Kenneth Sutton Jr.. Donna Sutton was buried on May 5, 2016 at Colonial Memorial Park 3039 S Broad St, in Hamilton Township.

In 1945, in the year that Donna Jean Sutton was born, on April 12th, President Franklin D. Roosevelt died of a cerebral hemorrhage in Warm Springs, Georgia. At 1p, he was sitting for a portrait when he complained that he had a "terrific pain" in the back of his head and collapsed. A doctor was summoned and the doctor gave him a shot of adrenaline into his heart. It didn't help and he was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. A slow moving train took him back to Washington D.C. while thousands of mourners lined the tracks. He was buried at his home in Hyde Park, New York.
